Stockgroup_2 Stockgroup Information Systems has partnered with Trigcom AS to offer real-time streaming data and news to mobile device users in Norway.  Trigcom AS imports and sells BlackBerry smartphones and will promote Stockgroup's Marketstream product.

Dowjonesindexes Dow Jones Indexes has launched a service to provide widgets that webmasters can easily add to their websites and display the highly-recognized Dow Jones Industrial Averages as well as other indexes calculated by Dow Jones.  The widget is also available through QuoteMedia for $5000 a year.

Pearson Sell Stake in Financial Times Deutschland

Pearson_2Pearson has agreed to sell its 50% stake in Financial Times Deutschland to Gruner + Jahr.  In doing so, FT will licence the Financial Times brand and FT content to FT Deutschland.

CEO Clips Appears on Fox Business News

Ceoclips_2CEO Clips has partnered with Fox Business News Network to broadcast a series of 1-2 minute video segments on publicly-traded North American companies.  CEO Clips was launched by Taylor Thoen, the founder of BTV-Business Television, a half-hour weekly business program, syndicated across Canada and the United States.

Financial Media Group has appointed Jim Sugarman to the role of Vice President of The Wealth Expo, a a tradeshow venue that offers investment education and showcases investment opportunities.  Sugarman was previously president and co-founder of The Online Trading Expo, which was acquired by InterShow, the producer of The Money Show.

Stockgroup Beefs Up Executive Team

Stockgroup Stockgroup Information Systems has named Dana Stetson as vice-president of worldwide sales.  He was director of broker dealer sales for Lava Trading and vice-president of sales for dynamicsoft.  Earlier in the week, Karl Buhr joined Stockgroup as chief operating officer.   He was formerly chief operating officer of Telemdia, a provider of mobile content on wireless carrier platforms.

Fund.com Goes Public Through Reverse Merger

Fundcom Fund.com has completed a reverse merger with Eastern Services Holdings to become a publicly-traded company under the ticker symbol, ESVH, on the over-the-counter bulletin board.  The company plans to create an Internet-based financial publishing, online advertising and content licensing business focused exclusively on the investment fund industry.

Pearson Acquires Money-Media

Pearson Pearson has acquired Money-Media, the publisher of Ignites, Fundfire and other online news and commentary websites for the money management industry.  The company generated $16 million in  revenues for 2007.
