Internet users in the UK who often visited online newspaper websites were more than twice as likely as the average Internet user to visit financial news and research websites. A comScore Media Metrix study of Internet users age 15 years and older in the UK resulted in a composition index value of 207 in the finance news and research category where an index value of 100 represents parity. Jack Flanagan, executive vice president of comScore, made the following observation: "...from the advertiser's point of view, understanding the interests of the core online newspaper audience can provide unique insights for targeting ads to them that are consistent with their interests."
