Financial Week Drops Print, Goes 100% Online

Financial Week has published its final print issue on December 7 and will move entirely online.  In doing so, the Crains Communication publication will put all of its resources into breaking news and more timely corporate finance news and analysis.

Forbes.com Gets a Facelift

Forbes.com has redesigned its business website offering new presentation of its  business articles and photos as well as real-time stock quotes using BATS Exchange trading data.   Its executive tear sheets have been enhanced to provide users with a more comprehensive profile of each individual.  Forbes.com has also launched an updated video player offering a 16:9 large screen format and High Definition quality video.

Fidelity Investments vs Yahoo Finance

Fidelity Investment is planning to add more business news articles and personal finance columns to its website, according to a Boston Globe article.  A "Breaking News" section will be added to a revamped Fidelity.com by March 2009.  In doing so, Fidelity is hoping to keep users that are currently turning to Yahoo Finance for stock market data and investment research.  Fidelity.com already features news and business stories from Reuters and Marketwatch.

Minyanville Wins the Emmy

Minyanville Media has won the Emmy for "Minyanville's World in Review with Hoofy and Boo" which was honored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the New Approaches to Financial Reporting category.  Its groundbreaking weekly show features the animated icons of finance, Hoofy the Bull and Boo the Bear.
